a global organization dedicated to eliminating health inequities in women with cancer
January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month
Cervical cancer is the 4th most common cancer among women globally and one of the two most common cancers affecting women in low- and middle-income countries. Every year around 680,000 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer and over 350,000 women succumb to the disease.
The American cancer Society has recommended stand-alone HPV testing as the preferred method for cervical cancer screening as of December 2025. Please remember to get screened this month
